Gusan Ashot

Gusan Ashot (Ashot Dadalyan, 1907–1989) was a famous ashugh (folk musician) from Goris, Syunik. He continued the musical traditions of Syunik and Zangezur, performing songs that reflect rural life, love, and the beauty of nature. Ashot used traditional instruments like the kamancha and sring, and his work has had a lasting impact on Armenian folk music. His songs are still performed and cherished today.
