Saint Hripsime Church (Karahunj)

Saint Hripsime Church is the largest single-nave church in Armenia. The church is 27.3 meters long, the interior hall is 23.65 meters long, the width is 5.65 meters at the wall niches and 3.45 meters at the supporting walls. The church has been completely preserved.

The hall, with its strictly elongated proportions, has five arch-shaped wall niches on each of its longitudinal walls. In the east, it ends with a semicircular apse both inside and outside.

The church has two entrances — one on the southern side and one on the western side. On the southwestern façade, a slightly damaged sun dial has been preserved.
